24 international schools raise fee by an average of 3.86%
87 Direct Subsidy Scheme schools, private schools, and international schools in Hong Kong have been given permission to raise their school fees in 2021/22 school year, announced by Education Bureau in mid September.
24 international schools applied to increase their school fees and all got approval successfully with an average increase of 3.86%. At the same time, some of the popular international schools would freeze their school fees, including English Schools Foundation (ESF).
YCIS and CIS for the highest school fees
The tuition fees for some of the top international schools reached an even higher point after the recent adjustment.
For Prep & Primary schools, Yew Chung International School has the highest tuition, charging more than HKD230,000 annually (based on the highest fee) with a 3% increase.
For Secondary schools, Chinese International School has the highest tuition, charging more than HKD270,000 annually (based on the highest fee) with a 3% increase.
