The Consultant’s Take

Best Fit For:

UK-oriented families wanting the English National Curriculum and a 470-year heritage brand from age three, plus a serious Chinese build via its dual-language pathway. But it is young: Key Stage 3 only begins with Year 7 in August 2026 (Year 8 in 2027), so it is not yet a settled secondary.

The “Insider” Tip:

Treat it as a premium prep school: Year 8 leavers get guaranteed consideration (not a guaranteed place) for Shrewsbury UK, with structured preparation for the ISEB Pre-Test and 13+ to move on to UK senior schools or HK secondaries. Budget a HK$50,000 annual capital levy plus a mandatory HK$200,000 Capital Certificate at K3 or Year 1 and Grade 1 or Year 2 entry; the bursary pool (10% of tuition income) is an under-used lever for strong applicants with genuine need.
